Spread across more than 32,000 square feet with six treatment rooms and three suites, the spa carries a distinctly Asian-Zen-meets-Middle Eastern-charm vibe. Nowhere is this sumptuous pairing more apparent than in the treatment menu, where locally inspired offerings incorporate elements of the Arabian Gulf region, like pearls, argan oil and rose essence.

Relaxation mode continues to the hotel’s two temperature-controlled rooftop pools, both affording stunning views of the Doha skyline and dreamy private cabanas to while away the afternoon.

Travel-weary locals and tourists alike will appreciate the heated pools found in the men’s and women’s locker rooms at The Spa at Mandarin Oriental, Doha. Lined with heated loungers, these serene spots let you unwind after a long day.
Many services incorporate Qatari elements, including Harmony of Pearls, which uses exfoliating pearl powder and frankincense essence harvested from ancient trees native to the region.
The male grooming lounge by West Bay salon Al Jawhary is a wonderful nod to local culture, offering barber services like shaving and beard trimming.
The spacious facility has the only quartz sand bed in Doha. Created by luxe German spa equipment brand Gharieni, it integrates aromatherapy, heat and even massage features to promote mental and physical relaxation.
Whether you’re prepping for a big night out or looking for an afternoon of rest and rejuvenation, the two-hour Occasions programs should fit the bill. Each of the five offerings (Glow, Rezone, Nourish, Tone and Ensemble) features a curated selection of services to help you achieve your spa goals.

Things to Know

Like most Doha spas, there are separate areas for men and women due to cultural sensitivities.
The city’s summer can be brutal and very humid, and while the rooftop pools are stunning, the heat may be a deterrent for some.
The spa encourages you to arrive at least an hour before your treatment to enjoy all of the extras, like the pools, heated beds and saunas.

The Treatments

If your skin is feeling the effects of jetlag or Doha’s desert heat, book yourself a HydraFacial, which buffs and deep-cleans your face to perfection. The scalp massage at the end is blissful.
One of Mandarin Oriental’s signature therapies, Digital Wellness Escape gives you a well-deserved break from your devices. The restorative treatment focuses on the head, eyes, neck, shoulders, hands and feet to ease the strains of constant stimulation.
The 140-minute Singing Sand Dunes service — named for a well-known desert area in Qatar — is designed to promote tranquility with a full-body massage carried out on a warm quartz sand bed to the tune of Himalayan singing bowls.
One of the Doha spa’s unique offerings, the two-hour muay Thai massage emulates movements from the traditional Thai martial art of the same name to wake up the body and help eliminate toxins.

The Facilities

In addition to the classic free weights and Technogym cardio equipment, the fitness center also has three dedicated studios for TRX, Queenax (functional) training, Pilates and yoga.
Venture upstairs to the roof to swim laps in the classic 25-meter pool or luxuriate in a cabana by the smaller plunge pool.
The male and female indoor pools are accompanied by Jacuzzis and plunge pools.
