The renovation unveiled a 32,000-square-foot sanctuary with 20 treatment rooms, offering cutting-edge wellness technology and experiences. Soothing spaces, from a Stillness Lounge with zero-gravity chairs to a sun-drenched solarium overlooking Camelback Mountain, feel thoughtfully connected to the surrounding desert rather than simply dropped into it.

The refreshed interiors are equally compelling. Reimagined by luxury hospitality design studio EDG alongside DesignOne Studio, the spa pairs lime-washed walls, custom stone mosaics and myriad cacti sculptures for a warm, bohemian sensibility that feels right at home in Scottsdale.

Set at the base of Mummy Mountain, the luxury spa enjoys sweeping views across Paradise Valley to Camelback Mountain. Inspired by its Sonoran Desert setting, the refreshed space emphasizes natural stone, warm neutrals and seamless indoor-outdoor transitions that connect the spa experience to the surrounding landscape.
Rather than prescribing fixed treatments, the spa encourages guests to choose one of four wellness pathways — Detox, Soothe, Harmonize or Restore — which then serve as a guide for treatments, wellness activities and even dining. Around that personalized approach sits an impressive collection of facilities, including an indoor thermal circuit, an outdoor hydrotherapy circuit and several mountain-view relaxation spaces.
The spa's indoor Wellness Circuit is a self-guided experience where guests move through a sequence of restorative therapies. It combines a Himalayan salt sauna, aromatherapy steam cavern, vitality pool, cold plunge, infrared-heated loungers and a sun-filled solarium with mountain views. Many guests spend as much time here as they do in the treatment room.
The Stillness Lounge is one of the spa's most distinctive additions, pairing Mind-Sync zero-gravity loungers with weighted blankets, eye masks and noise-canceling headphones to create a sensory cocoon designed for genuine relaxation. The contemplative spaces continue with the light-filled Sanctuary, offering a peaceful retreat overlooking Camelback Mountain.
For a post-treatment bite, head to Ora Café, a poolside eatery with an open kitchen, indoor-outdoor seating and a nutritionist-guided menu. Expect globally inspired dishes like kefir yogurt açaí smoothie bowls, roasted miso-cauliflower tacos, chicken banh mi and melon fattoush. The café is just as appetizing visually, with blush-pink banquette seating and a lush cactus-inspired mural.

The Treatments

Each pathway comes with complementary experiences tailored to its focus. Detox, for example, combines treatments with a fresh-pressed green juice and activities like a guided hike or studio-to-trail fitness class, while Soothe complements restorative therapies with chamomile and valerian root tea, breathwork and meditation. Restore centers on skin health, combining brightening facials and nourishing body wraps with antioxidant-rich snacks and energizing movement.
The treatment menu draws heavily on the Sonoran Desert, incorporating indigenous botanicals like aloe, citrus and rosemary. The Scottsdale spa's signature Juniper SageGround Massage, for instance, harnesses a purifying juniper and sage oil that helps to melt away tension and relax the body.
If you've come to Arizona hoping to embrace its spiritual side, the Sonoran Rose Facial offers a restorative ritual inspired by the desert's healing traditions. Combining rose and gold extracts with rose quartz crystals, the treatment is designed to calm sensitive skin while encouraging deep relaxation.
The hour-long Adobe Clay Detox is one of the spa's signature body treatments, cocooning guests in locally sourced clay infused with desert botanicals and warm aromatherapy oils. While the wrap works its magic, a relaxing scalp and foot massage helps guests unwind before a rain shower and juniper-sage body oil application complete the ritual.
Booking a treatment at The Spa at Camelback Inn includes complimentary access to the Wellness Waters, a multi-temperature hydrotherapy experience.
