The Treatments
• You’ll find a large menu of tempting skincare and body treatments ranging from a hot Himalayan salt stone massage and a clarifying silk facial peel to acupuncture and chakra balancing — this luxury spa specializes in both exotic treatments and popular classics.
• A signature service worth exploring is the Lasapa Lelima Purification Treatment, inspired by an indigenous Big Sur tribe. It is essentially a bathing ritual that includes a scrub, wrap and massage and features coastal and white sage, elderberry and blue cornmeal.
• Ladies will not want to skip the signature Women’s Water Experience. It begins with a private soak in a jetted tub and ends with an invigorating deluge from a 16-head shower in an exquisitely tiled space.
• Male guests have specialty services to choose from, too, and can get an herbal compress massage that employs arnica, eucalyptus and rosemary plus Thai-inspired massage moves to melt away muscle tension after a day on the links.
The Facilities
• Services are performed in one of the 28 restful treatment rooms, some of which are outfitted with fireplaces.
• Each dressing area offers a sauna, whirlpool, steam room and an inhalation room with negative ionizers and trays of aromatherapy oils.
• The conservatory is a sun-drenched social space with a greenhouse-style roof and sprays of white phalaenopsis orchids.
• Just across the hall, you’ll find the sanctuary, a quietly stunning octagonal room that’s designed for cocooning and silent reflection — both made easier with its central fire bowl.
• There’s also an outdoor pool, and a spa boutique where you can shop the skincare lines used in treatments and other curated goods like clothing and home accessories.
