Our Inspector's Highlights
• Located in the bottom level of The Miami Beach Edition (but on the opposite side of the hotel’s Basement nightclub), the beautifully designed 1,800-square-foot spa is simple yet modern.
• Inside, you can’t help but succumb to serenity. Specially curated music and Edition’s signature scent fill the air.
• With custom-designed daybeds surrounded by drapery and vintage Moroccan rugs, the candle-lit Relaxation Lounge is a destination onto its own; without question, you will want to make time to bliss out here pre- or post-treatment.
• The intentionally streamlined menu is simple and to the point, making it easy to customize your massage, body treatment or facial.
• Each room is outfitted with an iPad so you can further mood-set with a customized playlist, too.
Things to Know
• Tracy Lee, whose TLee Spas created striking spots like Spa Botánico, helped with the design of the Miami spa.
• In true Miami style, a glistening marble white staircase leads you to clear-glass French doors with the word “Spa” spelled out in metallic letters just to the left of them.
• If you’re unsure about which treatment to pick, ask for the standard Edition House Massage that comes with a firm hand, gentle oils and just the right amount of tension relief.
The Treatments
• The signature Build-A-Massage option lets you choose you’re your preferred “Touch” (options range from gentle to therapeutic), “Style” (flowing or energetic), and “Oil/Location” (unscented or even nut-free).
• After a long night out on Collins, the Reboot body treatment is the perfect way to recover with a steam, a body mask, a sauna sitting, and hair and scalp massages.
• Should you feel the need to hydrate, brighten and clarify your face with a Oxygen Infusion facial that’s designed to cool and calm, plump and firm, your skin will look smooth and glowy for the next night of fun.
• The Relaxation Lounge also offers its own menu of quick fixes that you can add onto services, including the always-popular “Power Nap” (a Biotic Wave machine makes the body feel like it’s taken a four-hour nap in just 20 minutes), oxygen and aromatherapy services, and soothing hand and feet treatments.
The Facilities
• The Miami Beach spa features nine treatment rooms, including a custom hamman room; a Beauty Lounge for nail, hair and makeup services; a detox room with a steam shower and infrared sauna; and a fully stocked boutique.
• Next door is the resort’s 24-hour, aptly named “Gym,” which offers state-of-the-art cardio, weight and strength equipment.
• An array of outdoor classes from professional trainers at V Art of Wellness (the company is headed up by celebrity trainers Tracie and Christopher Vlaun), including body chiseling, yoga and beach boot camp (a favorite of ours).
