- Velaa Spa emphasizes a holistic wellness approach, blending advanced technology like collagen-stimulating ultrasonic waves in firming facials with traditional touches (bamboo, Dead Sea salt crystals) and timeless techniques (Oriental Fusion Massage).
- The spa's location inspires multi-sensory treatments that harness the healing properties of locally sourced ingredients. For example, the Ocean Bliss service features sea salt crystals for full-body exfoliation, while the Elixir of Life and couples' Maldivian Royal Rose Experience includes a hydrating rose body wrap.
- The Velaa Spa’s treatments occur in thatched cabins above crystal-clear waters, creating a sense of tranquility as guests walk down the jetty for their pampering.
- The spa’s unique facilities stand out. The Maldives’ only “snow room,” made with compacted ice, is intended to be paired with alternating time in the steam room and sauna for a circulation boost. The spa also features the Cloud 9 Sleep Pod, an ergonomic, multi-sensory cocoon with a soothing, gentle rocking motion guaranteed to induce total relaxation.

The Treatments

The Junior Menu, for example, is tailored for younger visitors and features services that exclusively use natural ingredients, such as a gentle coconut oil-powered back, neck and shoulder massage. Meanwhile, gentlemen can indulge in the caviar-infused Million Dollar Man Facial.
- Many of the spa's treatments use products from the renowned luxury brand Dr. Burgener Switzerland. For instance, the detoxifying massage includes salt crystals and the rejuvenating facial utilizes the Royal Jelly Mask.
- Though the Well-Being Village is the resort’s dedicated Ayurvedic wellness center, Velaa Spa offers many holistic massages. Those looking to experience the ancient Indian healing modality should try the Shirodhara massage and have warm oil stream over the forehead (or “third eye center”).
