VERIFIED LUXURY
Here are five things to know about us:
1. We verify luxury. Our highly trained inspectors visit every property we rate, evaluating based on up to 900 objective criteria. Our hotel stays span a minimum of two nights.
2. We pay our own way. No one can buy a rating; all ratings are earned through our objective inspection process.
3. Our global team of inspectors are anonymous at all times, so they have the same experience as a typical guest.
4. While we inspect both service and facility, our Star Rating system emphasizes service because your experience at a hotel, restaurant or spa goes beyond looks — how it makes you feel is what you will remember most.
5. We started in1958 as Mobil Travel Guide, and we created the original Five-Star rating system for hospitality.
Five-Star
These properties deliver an outstanding experience and consistently offer a highly customized level of service.
Four-Star

The terrace at Hazel Hill places you above Montage Healdsburg's vineyards, with the Mayacamas Mountains’ rolling hills unfolding beyond them and Mount St. Helena looming in the distance. It’s a stunning Sonoma scene. A fresh, seasonal meal will give you even more of a reason to linger and savor the scenery.
Executive chef Jaron Dubinsky and chef de cuisine Jason Pringle showcases local produce in his French-influenced dishes, like the 38 North chicken accompanied by smoked potato puree, artichokes and black truffle jus or the perfectly cooked halibut piled with herbed cauliflower and Meyer lemon and a neat rectangle of Bloomsdale spinach on the side.
When you venture inside the all-day-dining restaurant, the space mimics the outdoors. It’s open with an expo kitchen lined with chairs so that you can get a closer look at the chefs at work. The décor draws from the nature in and around the property with lots of mixed wood (from the slatted ceiling to the flooring), shades of tan, brown and forest green and walls of windows so that you can still catch that alluring backdrop outside.
