Le Lapérouse made major waves when it debuted in 2018 as the first of PONANT’s Explorer-class expedition vessels. The intimate 184-passenger ship’s reinforced hull for polar exploration and fleet of Zodiacs made it ideal for itineraries in far-flung places, like the Seychelles, Iceland and New Zealand. The underwater, Jacques Cousteau-inspired Blue Eye lounge; photography studio for budding wildlife photographers; and water sports marina also give shape to the ship's adventurous spirit.
But Le Lapérouse also delivers luxurious amenities, including a dining program managed by chef Alain Ducasse’s catering company and airy, elegant interiors, filled with natural light and pale wood. Additionally, all 92 thoughtfully appointed staterooms and suites include private terraces, seamlessly integrating the ship's two primary pillars: exploration and comfort.
