Cheval Blanc Seychelles

An oceanfront jungle retreat with French flair
VERIFIED LUXURY
Set on a private peninsula along Anse Intendance, Cheval Blanc Seychelles brings the French luxury maison's signature polish to one of the Indian Ocean's most dramatic shorelines. Designed by acclaimed visionary Jean-Michel Gathy, the resort's 52 villas — each with a private pool — are tucked between jungle-clad hills and a wide sweep of powder-soft sand, offering an indulgent sense of seclusion. Interiors balance tropical ease with Parisian precision: sun-washed palettes, artisanal textures and thoughtful sightlines that frame the ocean from every angle.

Dining is a central pillar, with five restaurants ranging from relaxed beachfront fare to refined French and Japanese menus that lean into technique without losing a sense of place. The Cheval Blanc Spa, anchored by Guerlain, also delivers, but it does so with bespoke rituals inspired by island botanicals, while polished yet intuitive service anticipates needs with quiet ease.

Our Inspector's Highlights

  • Every villa feature a private pool and generous outdoor living area, positioned to maximize privacy whether set along the beach or tucked into the hillside. Interiors strike a refined balance between tropical materials and the maison’s signature French restraint, letting the views do the talking.
  • The resort occupies one of Seychelles’ most striking beaches, where wide stretches of sand meet powerful surf and jungle-backed cliffs. It feels wild and cinematic yet carefully managed to maintain an air of barefoot luxury.
  • Set above the beach among dense vegetation, the Cheval Blanc Spa features eight treatment rooms and rituals tailored to the island, from heated shell massages and warm quartz sand tables to hydrotherapy journeys and sound healing treatments.
  • Gathy’s architecture and landscaping are intentionally low-slung, allowing nature to take visual priority. Thoughtful sightlines frame ocean views without overwhelming the landscape.
  • For younger guests between three and 12 years old, the luxury resort offers Le Carrousel, a pirate-themed kids' club spanning more than 15,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor fun. Highlights include climbing nets, a lighthouse, splash pads, a playground and a dedicated pool with a waterslide.

The Restaurants

  • The resort’s all-day dining hub, Le White, serves as a relaxed anchor from morning through evening, with menus that move easily from generous breakfasts to Mediterranean-leaning lunches and globally inspired dinners. Open-air seating keeps the ocean front and center, making it a natural gathering spot between beach and pool time.
  • Named for the maison’s founding year, Le 1947 is an intimate fine-dining restaurant that delivers refined French cuisine with a modern edge. Expect precise technique and a tasting-menu format, but do note that the venue is only open Wednesdays and Sundays.
  • Sleek, contemporary Mizumi focuses on sushi, sashimi and delicately composed hot dishes. The atmosphere is quietly theatrical, with lakeside seating illuminated by lamplight.
  • Drawing inspiration from Indian Ocean and South Asian flavors, Sula offers spice-driven dishes layered with nuance rather than heat alone. Its casual beachside couches are the perfect place to settle in for fresh salads, ceviche and flame-grilled fish dishes.
  • For Mediterranean fare with a splash of sunset views, Vivamento hits the spot. The poolside setting keeps things casual while the handmade pastas and wine list still somehow elevate the experience.
