Upon entering any of The Inn of the Five Grace’s 25 rooms, you'll see the rich décor and furnishings collected from around the world by the inn's owners Ira and Sylvia Seret, which include everything from Persian and Afghan rugs, Tibetan furniture, and carved wooden doors and accents from India.
Opened in 2002, the petite Santa Fe inn transformed a quiet block (the Barrio del Analaco, considered to be the oldest neighborhood in what is now the United States) into a destination for a luxurious retreat within walking distance to many of the historic town’s best attractions, shops and restaurants.

Our Inspector's Highlights
- The Inn of the Five Graces complex occupies both sides of a one-way street, and inhabits adobe structures first constructed by Tlasclalan Indians, who built the nearby San Miguel Mission in 1610.
- The Inn of the Five Graces serves a made-to-order breakfast in the small dining room and patio, and you can also charge dinner to your room at the nearby 315 Restaurant and Wine Bar.
- A 24-hour fitness center is located across the street from the reception office and offers tea, lemonade, coffee and water at all hours.
- The High-Mountain Tibetan spa treatment room furthers your relaxation, and in-room spa treatments are available as well.
- Outside, hidden courtyards are favorite respites to enjoy the mild Santa Fe evenings.
Things to Know
- In the 1880s, the U.S. Army added buildings made of riverstone from the nearby Santa Fe River that are unique in this city known for its adobe architecture.
- The Inn of the Five Graces has a small kitchen that serves a menu including huevos rancheros and the Five Graces breakfast burrito, as well as oatmeal, granola, pancakes, apple sausage and vegetarian sausage patties.
- The Inn partners with the nearby 315 Restaurant and Wine Bar, where guests may charge dinner to their room, or order room service.
The Rooms
- Each room's layout is different, but all have Keurig coffee makers, robes, LED lighting, Le Creuset plates and Desert Blends bath products that are made in Taos.
- Flat-screen televisions are covered in silk to blend into the decor when not in use. All rooms have a fireplace stocked with fragrant piñon wood in the winter.
- For even more seclusion, reserve The Luminaria house, a 2,000-square-foot, two-bedroom suite made of river rock that features a hanging glass sculpture by Robert Kaindl, a lapis-covered ceiling, winding staircase and five fireplaces.
- Free Wi-Fi is available in all rooms.
The Look
- The Inn of the Five Graces has a decidedly eclectic style, combining Persian, Indian, Tibetan, Uzbek and other Eastern architectural elements and antiques with classic Santa Fe adobe construction.
- The effect is organic, warm and luxurious, and almost every inch of the Inn’s 25 rooms has been handmade in some way.
- Embroidered silk covers flat-screen TVs when not in use so they don’t distract from the art that surrounds them.
- Wooden doors and trim are hand-carved, and owner Sylvia Seret has created intricate tile mosaics in every bathroom.
