Rosewood Munich
Modern luxury in old-town Munich
VERIFIED LUXURY
Here are five things to know about us:
1. We verify luxury. Our highly trained inspectors visit every property we rate, evaluating based on up to 900 objective criteria. Our hotel stays span a minimum of two nights.
2. We pay our own way. No one can buy a rating; all ratings are earned through our objective inspection process.
3. Our global team of inspectors are anonymous at all times, so they have the same experience as a typical guest.
4. While we inspect both service and facility, our Star Rating system emphasizes service because your experience at a hotel, restaurant or spa goes beyond looks — how it makes you feel is what you will remember most.
5. We started in1958 as Mobil Travel Guide, and we created the original Five-Star rating system for hospitality.

Housed within two meticulously restored landmark buildings, Rosewood Munich appears as a longtime resident of Munich’s old town, boasting charm and elegance from its baroque and rococo exteriors. But it's this thoughtful commitment to culture that makes the brand-new luxury hotel such an excellent fit in this historic capital city.
The first Rosewood outpost to open in Germany, the sumptuous property opened its doors in October 2023, debuting a beautiful blend of restored original architecture and contemporary style that has come to define the luxury brand. Towering baroque ceilings encapsulate a living art gallery of contemporary works by local artists. A classic brasserie-style eatery serves up modern interpretations of traditional Alpine cuisine. And just steps from Munich’s central square, Marienplatz, sits the country’s first Asaya-branded spa.
But the real thread tying past to present at this exquisite urban retreat is the stellar service that’s likely to make this hideaway a treasure for years to come.
