Alexander Hotel

Timeless sophistication in Mexico City
VERIFIED LUXURY
Within the striking Torre Virreyes, Mexico City's inverted triangle-shaped skyscraper, it’s no wonder the Alexander Hotel places design at the forefront. High ceilings, floor-to-ceiling windows and contemporary artworks converge to create a sleek aesthetic that exudes timeless sophistication.

Geared toward elite travelers who appreciate exclusivity and premium service, each of the hotel’s 26 suites is equipped with state-of-the-art technology and the finest imported luxury furnishings. Black ebony, leather accents, blue calcite marble from Brazil, and glass Rimadesio closets from Italy will entice guests who seek more than a stay, but an experience.

At the heart of it all, the oval-shaped Alexander Bar — a first-of-its-kind venue in the country — has anchored the hotel's social scene with unrivaled elegance since its 2024 debut.

Our Inspector's Highlights

  • At the Alexander Bar, you can savor several culinary delights enhanced by a superior selection of Petrossian caviar. Feather-light house-smoked salmon, stone crab claws, creamy burrata wrapped in confit tomatoes and garlic and decadent slab-style Wagyu steaks/burgers are all standouts.
  • Come the weekend, the Alexander Bar is also the place to be — which happens to be the hotel’s slogan. The property hosts elegant soirees to the beat of DJ sets, where you can sip the night away in a lively atmosphere.
  • After spending the day attending business meetings or exploring the city, indulge in a much-needed massage at the spa. Two steam areas and a pair of private treatment cabins offering bespoke treatments tailored to individual needs stand at the ready on the hotel’s first floor.
  • Right beside the Mexico City spa is a well-appointed gym for those guests who’d like to keep up with their fitness routine even when traveling. Yoga classes, a jogging coach and a personal trainer are available on request.
  • E-bikes and high-end cars with private drivers are available by reservation to meet your mobility needs.

The Rooms

  • The hotel features 26 suites spread across three levels, providing a sanctuary for relaxation. The suites are divided into four categories: the Alexander suite, two Ambassador suites, one Grand suite and 22 standard suites. Each category is spacious, offering a feel akin to that of a sophisticated apartment in this trendy city. Standard suites starting at 570 square feet.
  • The plush beds are dressed in 600-thread-count sheets and down feather duvets. Units are also appointed with Madison Collection towels and bespoke Byredo bath amenities.
  • Blinds are remote-operated, offering the ultimate convenience, both the ones facing the street or park and those that magically appear to provide privacy around the glass-enclosed bathroom.
  • A comfortable leather reading chair and dining area are part of every suite, creating an ideal place for room service.
  • A Bang & Olufsen sound system, Nespresso coffee machine and Dyson hairdryer are some of the top-of-the-line amenities available. Terry and waffle bathrobes, along with slippers, are neatly on display in the stylish glass Rimadesio closet.
