The BoTree

A luxe stay in the heart of it all
VERIFIED LUXURY
One of the English capital’s newest luxury hotels, The BoTree finds itself in the enviable position of being located at the intersection of two of London’s most upmarket neighborhoods: elegant Mayfair and sophisticated Marylebone.

It’s this idea of connection that’s at the heart of the hotel. A welcome team greets each guest on arrival. There’s no reception desk here, so you are invited to make yourself at home on the sink-into-me sofas and lounge-style chairs while a digital tablet-carrying team member checks you in and hands you a glass of something sparkling. Personalized butler service is always available on every floor, and suites come with lounges and dining rooms ideal for entertaining. There’s a stylish on-street bar with resident DJs, a serene, Mediterranean-inspired restaurant for all-day dining and a sultry underground nightclub event space.

Design also plays a big role here, and the vibe in the rooms and public spaces is distinctly modern (somewhat of a rarity in these parts full of historic hotels) but comfortable and relaxed with plush furnishings, quirky art and floral installations. All this, and you’re just moments from exciting Soho and buzzing Oxford Street.

Our Inspector's Highlights

  • The bespoke art throughout the London hotel delivers a creative feel. The bronze tree — a take on a bodhi tree — in the lobby made from recycled coffee cups is particularly striking, as are the fashion-inspired, full-length works that greet you from the elevators on each floor.
  • Each room’s hanging bay windows — it’s one of the design points you’ll notice on your approach to the hotel — provide excellent cozy nooks for taking time out with a coffee or perhaps penning that novel you’ve always been planning.
  • Larger suites contain slick cocktail bars as well as inviting lounge and dining spaces prime for entertaining or relaxing come sundown.
  • An advanced digital communications system means that your individual preferences are shared instantly with colleagues in all areas of the hotel.
  • The proximity to Marylebone, Mayfair and Soho afford you near-instant access to many of the city’s top bars and restaurants.

Things to Know

  • In addition to GHD or Dyson hairdryers in the rooms, there are also steamers provided in every room to ensure your outfits are as stylish as the hotel’s interiors.
  • While families are more than welcome here — plenty of interconnecting rooms and suites for larger groups illustrate as much — there’s a definite grown-up feel about the place.
  • Some of the larger suites come with delightful balconies with city views. In fact, those above the hotel’s entrance grant glances down to Oxford Street and the famous HMV music store.
  • Guests are welcomed to the luxury hotel with champagne (or a non-alcoholic alternative), gifted cute treats in their room on arrival and given complimentary in-room soft drinks during their stay.
