Four Seasons Hotel Jakarta

An all-suite oasis infused with Indonesian heritage
VERIFIED LUXURY
Old World glamour infuses this stylish all-suite hotel, conveniently located on a major thoroughfare in the heart of Jakarta. From the moment they arrive, guests experience the impeccable, anticipatory service that’s synonymous with the Four Seasons brand.

Occupying a 20-story tower within Capital Place — a prestigious mixed-use development designed by Argentinian architect César Pelli — Four Seasons Hotel Jakarta’s interiors exude retro-chic elegance, featuring lofty ceilings, statement chandeliers and gilded accents.

Brought to life by New York-based Alexandra Champalimaud, the design draws inspiration from Jakarta’s history as a multicultural spice-trading port with grand yet intimate spaces that feel deeply rooted in the locale.

For a compelling introduction to Indonesia’s rich heritage, guests can indulge in locally inspired spa treatments, admire the impressive Indonesian art collection and savor regional flavors at the hotel’s acclaimed restaurants and bars.

Our Inspector's Highlights

  • The hotel’s 125 generously sized suites (starting at roughly 660 square feet) envelop guests in comfort. Thoughtful amenities include plush armchairs, dedicated workspaces, blackout curtains for uninterrupted rest, and walk-in closets that adjoin large marble bathrooms with standalone tubs.
  • All-day restaurant Palm Court invites guests to dine beneath a striking Lasvit chandelier inspired by the fronds of Bismarck palms. During the semi-buffet breakfast, the à la carte selection features hearty local dishes such as lontong sayur — a piquant coconut-milk stew with chayote, tofu, braised egg, and pressed rice cakes.
  • Wellness enthusiasts can book a Javanese massage or Biologique Recherche facial at the serene spa, which features six treatment rooms, two couples’ suites, a hair and nail salon, a barbershop, and a futuristic relaxation room. The latter provides a unique sensory experience with loungers that release soothing aromas alongside vibrational, sound, and light therapy.
  • The resort-style pool, designed by Bangkok-based architect Bill Bensley, is a lush oasis complete with palms, frangipani trees, cascading water features, daybeds and padded sun loungers. At night, dramatic spotlights illuminate the geometric tilework, while oversized fire torches add an enchanting glow.
  • Commissioned art pieces throughout the hotel enhances its sense of place. Guests are welcomed by a larger-than-life gamelan ensemble (a traditional Indonesian musical group) at the porte-cochère, while paintings of Dutch colonial-era Jakarta and wall panels illustrating batik motifs and the rice goddess Dewi Sri add depth to the interiors.

The Restaurants

  • Spanning the entire top floor, Alto Restaurant & Bar serves fine Italian cuisine in an opulent red-hued setting. Don’t miss executive chef Marco Violano’s housemade pastas, including signatures like linguine with tiger prawns, straccetti with porcini mushrooms, and angel hair with grilled lobster.
  • Beneath a 43-foot-high cupola, Palm Court celebrates the diversity of Indonesian cuisine with dishes like Sumatran-style beef rendang and gado-gado salad, alongside braised chicken with woku spice paste, a specialty of North Sulawesi. Rotating collaborations with guest chefs and local producers further highlight the country’s rich culinary landscape.
  • Nautilus Bar, a stylish cocktail den on the lobby level, channels the intimacy of a private gentlemen’s club. Leading the beverage program is Julian Brigget, formerly of Bar Trigona at Four Seasons Hotel Kuala Lumpur, who crafts spice trade-inspired cocktails made with native ingredients such as nutmeg, pepper, and pandan.
  • Offering a feminine counterpart to Nautilus Bar, La Patisserie evokes a jewelry boutique with its high ceilings, antique furnishings Tiffany blue décor. Indulge in exquisite cakes, pastries and afternoon tea sets, as well as seasonal collaborations featuring luxury brands and cultural institutions.
