Six Senses Fiji

A sustainable and sophisticated island getaway
VERIFIED LUXURY

Six Senses Fiji seamlessly blends luxury and sustainability across its 120-acre property on Malolo Island. Each element of the resort has been thoughtfully designed to complement its island surroundings, all with wellness, comfort and conservation in mind.

The resort has fostered a DIY-style getaway when it comes to vacationing. Those who want to treat their stay as a wellness retreat can undergo a personalized assessment at the spa and follow a program tailored to their needs. Meals made with local ingredients, two onsite gyms, custom spa treatments and an array of fitness activities help you return home rejuvenated.

On the other hand, those who want to simply sip a home-brewed kombucha cocktail (or any other libation, for that matter) will feel at home lounging by the oceanside pool. The resort regularly hosts cultural activities, cinema under the stars and wood-fire pizza nights. No matter how you spend your time at Six Senses Fiji, you’re sure to have a memorable experience.

Our Inspector's Highlights

  • It’s a customized experience at Six Senses Spa Fiji, from the treatments to the Alchemy Bar, where you can concoct your own scrubs and massage oils. Trained medical professionals at the spa also craft wellness health plans for guests that are centered around nutrition, exercise and sleep.
  • Satiate cravings at the resort’s four dining venues. The central Tovolea restaurant features Fijian-inspired dishes, Rara Restaurant and Bar doles out views of the marina and meals made primarily from the property’s organic garden, and Teitei Pizzeria is where you can enjoy a slice under the stars. For something quick, head over to the farmers-market-inspired gourmet deli.
  • Six Senses Fiji’s focus on sustainability is highlighted with solar power, an organic garden and chicken coop, honeybee farm, and commitment to serving local ingredients over those that have been imported from overseas.
  • An all-day kids club is packed with activities and educational programs. Those too young to join in on the fun will feel comfortable with a welcoming nanny.
  • The spacious pool and lounge deck set between Tovolea and the sea is a postcard-perfect picture of how time in Fiji is meant to be spent. The only tough decision is choosing between whether to cool off in the pool or the sea.

Things to Know

  • Unlike many of the other properties within the region, Six Senses Fiji’s sweeping bay makes it possible to swim in the sea even at low tide. At many other resorts, the tide recedes to reveal an exposed reef.
  • If you have an early arrival or late flight, take advantage of the resort’s day rooms, facilities and onsite library, allotting more time for relaxing and less time waiting at the airport.
  • Allow plenty of time between flight connections, as Six Senses Fiji is a 30- to 45-minute speedboat transfer from Port Denarau Marina. Alternatively, you can charter a helicopter from Nadi International Airport or Port Denarau to arrive at the resort’s helipad within 15 minutes of departure.
  • The variety of accommodations that range from secluded suites to five-bedroom residences make the Fiji hotel convenient for couples, families and multigenerational groups.
  • With each accommodation having a private pool, the variety of restaurants spread out throughout the property, the spa, and the fitness centers, the island resort rarely feels crowded, even at max capacity.

The Rooms

  • The spacious (6,500 to 10,500 square feet) two- to five-bedroom residences come with private staff, such as a nanny for up to eight hours per day; an experience manager who assists with booking activities, meals and events; as well as a detail-oriented housekeeper.
  • The choice is yours when it comes to finding the ideal one- to two-bedroom villas (1,200 to 1,600 square feet), each with its own pool, spacious lounge area and outdoor shower. The beachfront pool villas are a few steps away from the shoreline.
  • Villas and residences look as though they could stand alone in a traditional Fijian village with thatch roofing and dark wood. Inside, each room is decorated with captivating Fijian photographs and traditional sculptures, tapa (barkcloth) and other forms of artwork.

Nearby Attractions

  • The world-class wave of Cloudbreak is just a short boat ride away from the luxury hotel. Beginner surfers looking to catch their first wave in the South Pacific will be in safe hands, thanks to the trusted guides at Tropicsurf, the onsite surf tour company.
  • Don a mask and snorkel and head out on a snorkeling or scuba-diving tour to explore colorful reefs famous for hosting reef sharks, reef fish, sea turtles, dolphins and an array of soft and hard corals. Those who’ve yet to be scuba certified can learn at the resort.
  • Sail around the spectacular Mamanuca islands on a 41-foot catamaran that departs from Six Senses Fiji’s private marina. Pack a chilled bottle of wine for a romantic date on a private beach.
  • Explore the coastline of Malolo Island by kayak, standup paddleboard or miniature catamaran, all of which are available for guests to use.
