Jumeirah Al Naseem

An understated Dubai escape
VERIFIED LUXURY
Jumeirah Al Naseem stands among Dubai’s high-end hotels in the fairytale-like complex of Madinat Jumeirah as if it has been around for decades. But the Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star hotel only opened in 2016.

Al Naseem bucks the over-the-top flash of other properties, like the neighboring Burj Al Arab. Inside the hotel’s white low-rise building, you’ll encounter 430 tastefully designed rooms and suites, interiors inspired by desert sands and the Arabian Gulf, and natural materials like wood and stone.

Along with its contemporary trappings, Jumeirah Al Naseem provides everything you’ll need for a stellar getaway: very good dining and nightlife, a private beach, a 26-room luxury spa and attentive, friendly staff.

Choose from a wide range of treatments, such as the sandalwood-and-rose-infused Shiffa Arabian Nights, or have an alfresco massage in a beachfront cabana or in the spa’s secret garden.
  • Beach lovers can enjoy the pristine mile-long stretch of sand owned by Madinat Jumeirah offering views of the Burj Al Arab. Visit the resort’s Water Sports Center to try windsurfing, kayaking, wakeboarding and more.
  • Your little ones are in for an exciting afternoon at the children’s club, where they can participate in games, activities and crafts. There’s an outdoor playground with a splash pool, swing sets and a jungle gym to keep them busy through the day while you enjoy some well-deserved alone time.
  • Apart from 10 highly acclaimed restaurants, bars and lounges at Jumeirah Al Naseem, you also have the option of dining at 40 other establishments around the Madinat Jumeirah complex, serving everything from fine Italian cuisine and authentic Thai fare to sharing-style tapas and dishes from the Middle East.
  • Dive into the local culture without setting foot outside of the resort with a visit to the Souk Madinat Jumeirah. Built in the style of the city’s traditional architecture, this impressive souk is home to a collection of stands, stalls, souvenir stores and boutiques selling traditional clothing, frankincense, resort wear, handicrafts, art, carpets, lamps and more.

Things to Know

  • The hotel’s location within Madinat Jumeirah is unbeatable, both for access to top-notch dining, nightlife venues and cafés, and to local attractions (Wild Wadi Waterpark, Ski Dubai, Dubai Water Canal) and other areas of interest (Dubai Marina).
  • A stay at the luxury hotel grants you use of Madinat Jumeirah’s amenities, including tennis courts, an airport meet-and-greet service and a culinary concierge who will ensure your dietary needs will be met on property.

The Rooms
  • The contemporary, residential-style rooms feature a color palette inspired by the surrounding desert landscape with accents of mint, olive and magenta. Terraces and floor-to-ceiling windows flood the spaces with natural light and provide stunning views of the Arabian Gulf, gardens and swimming pools.
  • The spacious, open-plan marble bathrooms come with dual vanity, a freestanding bathtub and a separate rain shower. A colorful mosaic backsplash brings a sense of place to the spa-like spaces.
  • The Gulf Ocean Suites are great for families or couples who would like to be able to step onto the beach from their front door. A cabana and private terrace provide an extra-plush perch from which to watch the sun set over the water.

The Restaurants

  • Escape into the tranquil space and open terraces of The Palmery to savor fresh produce and healthy meals from around the world, served buffet-style or à la carte.
  • At Rockfish, enjoy Mediterranean seafood classics with subtle Arabian flavors and views of the Burj Al Arab and the gulf. Try favorites such as the Tasmanian salmon with lemon caviar or the salt-crusted sea bass.
  • Sample organic wines, olive oil and seasonal produce sourced directly from Italy at Il Borro Tuscan Bistro. Regional specialties such as pumpkin tortelli with Umbrian black truffle and spaghetti with prawns, zucchini and saffron are sure to transport you to Tuscany.
  • At the trendy and somewhat whimsical Katsuya, expect contemporary Japanese cuisine — sushi and sashimi platters, fare cooked on robata grills and satisfying cocktails, all served alfresco next to the hotel’s Turtle Lagoon or in the rustic-chic Philippe Starck-designed restaurant space.
  • Sip on fruity cocktails and tuck into Caribbean food at the lively Polynesian bar Sugarmash, next to the Dubai hotel’s adults-only swimming pool. At Kalsa, the other poolside bar, opt for light and healthy meals and Sicilian dishes, such as flatbreads and pizzas.
