Clayton Hotel & Members Club, Cherry Creek Denver

Where Denver comes to connect
VERIFIED LUXURY
Inspired by the private members’ club model popularized by brands like Soho House, Clayton Hotel & Members Club brings a fresh, convivial approach to luxury accommodation in Denver’s upscale Cherry Creek neighborhood — a walkable, 16-block area that’s brimming with fashion boutiques, restaurants and galleries.

Hotel guests are treated as honorary members throughout their stay, with access to a full calendar of events — from run clubs and sunrise paddleboarding to cocktail mixers and wine tastings — making it as appealing to solo leisure travelers and creative professionals as it is to business travelers looking to network.

The atmosphere comes alive through interiors by acclaimed design firm AvroKO inspired by Colorado’s mountains and geology, a Mexican restaurant led by one of Denver’s most celebrated chefs, and a rooftop pool overlooking the Mile-High City. Of course, one of the hotel’s greatest assets is its address, providing easy access to one of the city’s most fashionable areas.

Our Inspector's Highlights

  • The Denver hotel’s 63 guest rooms and suites range from approximately 240 to 1,440 square feet, balancing AvroKO’s warm, residential aesthetic with thoughtful comforts such as oversized rain showers, blackout drapes and Frette linens. Rooms also overlook either the Rocky Mountains or the Denver skyline, while suites add spacious living areas, workspaces, tubs and private terraces in select categories.
  • One of the biggest perks of staying at the Clayton is easy access to Alteño, chef Johnny Curiel’s culinary tribute to his homeland ofJalisco. Curiel has already earned some of the culinary world’s highest honors, and while tables at his other restaurants around Denver are notoriously hard to come by, the hotel’s members-first reservation policy means guests can often snag one without months of planning.
  • The members’ club facilities feel a cut above the usual hotel common areas. Think overstuffed leather sofas, thoughtfully curated contemporary art, a pool table in the lobby lounge, a light-filled sunroom with a patio, and a hushed library designed for reading or catching up on work.
  • If you’re visiting in the warmer months, make a beeline for the rooftop to soak up some of Denver’s reputed 300 days of sunshine. The heated pool is surrounded by daybeds — some shaded for a break from the sun — while the rooftop bar and restaurant host lively weekend brunches and regular social events, making it one of Cherry Creek’s liveliest gathering spots.
  • AvroKO’s “California meets Denver” concept avoids predictable mountain-lodge clichés. Instead, crisp mid-century lines, warm timber, brass and natural stone are paired with carpets, countertops and bespoke details inspired byColorado’s striated rock formations, giving the hotel a character that reflects the region in a subtle, sophisticated way.

Things to Know

  • A daily destination amenity fee unlocks full access to the Clayton Members Club throughout your stay. Along with the rooftop pool, fitness center, co-working spaces, members-only restaurants, lounges and steam rooms, guests can also cherry-pick from the club’s packed lineup of social events. The fee also includes high-speed Wi-Fi and complimentary admission to the Denver Botanic Gardens and Denver Zoo.
  • No need to leave your four-legged travel companion behind. For an additional pet fee, the Clayton welcomes dogs of all sizes, while Cherry Creek’s parks, pet-friendly cafés, boutiques and restaurant patios make it one of Denver’s easiest neighborhoods to explore with a pup.
  • Families are well looked after at the luxury hotel. Cots and cribs can be arranged in guest rooms, while the members’ events calendar regularly features child-friendly activities, including magic shows, pizza-making parties and drumming workshops — many of which are hosted in partnership with local organizations such as the Children’s Museum of Denver.
  • Active travelers will be spoiled for choice. Tennis and pickleball fans can reserve courts or book lessons at the nearby Gates Tennis Center, a popular public facility frequented by Denver residents.
  • For a scenic walk or run, head to nearby Washington Park — affectionately known as “Wash Park” — where tree-lined paths loop around lakes and gardens inspired by George Washington’s estate at Mount Vernon.
  • The 24-hour fitness center is equipped with Peloton bikes and everything you'll need to keep up your routine, while adjoining steam rooms provide a welcome antidote to Denver’s notoriously dry high-altitude climate.
