Conrad Bora Bora Nui

A tropical gem in the sapphire South Pacific
VERIFIED LUXURY

With unparalleled views and pristine waters melting onto dreamlike beaches, Conrad Bora Bora Nui is a tropical oasis. The French Polynesian hideaway is so idyllic, in fact, that even the Kardashians couldn’t stay away — the celebrity family chose this luxurious resort as its vacation destination in 2011.

Thatched-roof, overwater bungalows (some with private pools) add to the castaway-luxe vibe. For those looking to up the ante, two envy-inducing Presidential Suites (the region’s only two-story, overwater villas) feel like your own private island escape — butler included.

Six unique restaurants and bars satisfy any palate, while a serene spa and beauty salon pamper with stunning vistas of the lagoon.

Whether you’re here to relax or indulge in the abundance of activities, Conrad Bora Bora Nui ensures that there’s something for everyone to enjoy. So paddle your kayak to the beach, order a piña colada, dig your feet in the warm sand and bask in the Polynesian sun — you’re in paradise.

Our Inspector's Highlights

  • It’s no surprise that Conrad Bora Bora Nui’s coral reef is so healthy and beautiful — the resort protects local marine life by participating in the international Biorock reef restoration program to help coral grow back stronger and faster. The property also provides environmentally friendly sunscreen.
  • Located on the islet of Motu To’opua, this private island hotel stands alone. Despite the numerous rooms, you’ll feel like you’re living on your own slice of heaven. For the ultimate stay, check into one of the overwater villas spanning two floors.
  • Perched on a hilltop, Hina Spa boasts the best view of Mount Otemanu. Book a sunset treatment to take in the ancient volcano jutting from the mesmerizing lagoon made all the more picturesque against the backdrop of a pink- and orange-kissed sky.
  • Conrad Bora Bora Nui offers an array of activities for the adventurous (kayaking with rays) to those less so (miniature golf).
  • Soak up the scenery at this stunning local — lay out by the resort’s beautiful tiered infinity pool and cool off with a classic tiki drink at the swim-up bar.

Things to Know

  • Once you arrive at Motu Mute Airport, head straight to the Conrad Bora Bora Nui desk, where you will be greeted with a beautiful lei and famous Polynesian hospitality. Sit back and enjoy a scenic boat ride to the resort’s private island — this is just a small taste of what’s to come.
  • Bora Bora is famous for its wonderful weather; however it does have a rainy season. The best time to visit is between May and October, when you’re likely to experience nothing but sunny skies.
  • Early check-ins at the Bora Bora hotel are put up in a temporary room, where you can shower, nap or relax. Your bags will be waiting in your room when it’s ready, so vacation starts the moment you step foot on the island.
  • For those interested in exploring more of Bora Bora, transportation to the main island can be arranged with the front desk. If you take the shuttle (rather than private transportation), be sure to check the schedule in advance so you don’t miss the return trip.

The Rooms

  • All 114 villas offer a modern Polynesian vibe with wood-paneled walls, locally inspired artwork and neutral furnishings that let the lagoon views take center stage. The majority of the resort consists of overwater bungalows, though beachfront, garden and horizon (hillside) accommodations are also available.
  • Bathrooms are incredibly spacious with his-and-her sinks and a tub that you’ll never want to leave. Take a hot bath with the awning windows open so you can see and hear the ocean lapping against the rocks beneath you.
  • Each villa is equipped with Bluetooth speakers both inside and on the balcony so you can mix up some cocktails and dance or simply relax in the tub with some soothing music.
  • So it doesn’t distract from the outside views, your TV rises from the foot of your bed with the push of the button. The screen can rotate a full 360 degrees so you can watch a late-night movie while laying on your overwater hammock under the stars.

The Restaurants

  • Start your morning off right with a wonderful spread at Iriatai’s breakfast buffet. Savor a traditional Tahitian morning meal while reading your country’s local news looking out over the lagoon.
  • French fare meets island vibes at Conrad’s signature open-air dining room, Iriatai French Restaurant. Chef Guillaume Galvez’s exquisite menu — featuring plates like fragrant bouillabaisse, roasted lamb with eggplant caviar, and truffle risotto — will keep you coming back for more.
  • Upa Upa Lounge Bar is for sushi lovers. Perched on stilts over illuminated waters and well-placed coral, the venue’s glass floors provide entertainment, and on Wednesdays and Sundays, live music complements the laid-back atmosphere.
  • If you’re looking for something more casual, Tamure Beach Grill is fantastic for lunch. The restaurant provides a relaxed toes-in-the-sand experience with wonderful views of the ocean and comforting cuisine prepared in an open-air kitchen and stone oven.
  • Aptly named for the ethereal tree just outside, Banyan Chinese Restaurant is a sleek spot for modern and eclectic Chinese fare. Dine on regional specialties such as dumplings, wok-fried scallops and classic Peking duck.
