Conrad Beijing
A towering show of contemporary flair
VERIFIED LUXURY
Here are five things to know about us:
1. We verify luxury. Our highly trained inspectors visit every property we rate, evaluating based on up to 900 objective criteria. Our hotel stays span a minimum of two nights.
2. We pay our own way. No one can buy a rating; all ratings are earned through our objective inspection process.
3. Our global team of inspectors are anonymous at all times, so they have the same experience as a typical guest.
4. While we inspect both service and facility, our Star Rating system emphasizes service because your experience at a hotel, restaurant or spa goes beyond looks — how it makes you feel is what you will remember most.
5. We started in1958 as Mobil Travel Guide, and we created the original Five-Star rating system for hospitality.
Five-Star
These properties deliver an outstanding experience and consistently offer a highly customized level of service.
Four-Star

The recently debuted Conrad Beijing is situated in the heart of Beijing’s Chaoyang area, a prime business and entertainment district that’s close to sights such as the iconic Central China Television (CCTV) building, the renowned Silk Street Market and upscale shopping.
The 29-story tower, which was designed by acclaimed Chinese architect Ma Yansong features a futuristic façade that was inspired by the framework of “nerve tissue” and thoroughly modern interiors to match.
The 289 guest rooms sport a soothing all-beige palette, sleek furnishings, marble bathrooms with soaking tubs, and floor-to-ceiling windows that showcase city and Tuanjie Lake Park views.

Our Inspector's Highlights
- Its all-day dining spot Chapter is reminiscent of an antique European library; Lu Yu is dedicated to tea culture and boasts a two-story wall with Chinese tea; the Lobby Lounge offers a casual setting to enjoy light bites, afternoon tea or a glass of wine; 29 Grill serves some fabulous seafood and chops; and the just-opened Vivid is the hotel’s nightclub and the new place to see and be seen.
-
Though the hotel itself opened in March 2013, Vivid, the new on-site nightclub on the hotel’s fifth floor just recently made its debut. Destined to be Beijing’s new nightspot, the club offers an extensive cocktail list, plenty of nooks to cozy up in and an outdoor area to enjoy on warmer nights.
-
Dedicated to all things tea, the elegant Lu Yu restaurant boasts a two-story wall with Chinese teas and daily offerings of three different types that you can sip pre-dinner.
-
The property’s state-of-the-art fitness center that’s open 24 hours a day boasts almost-new cardio and strength equipment, a fully equipped locker room, plus a heated indoor pool and Jacuzzi, so you don’t have to sacrifice your gym routine while on vacation.
Things to Know
- Book yourself a treatment and retreat to the hotel’s tranquil five-room Spa at Conrad Beijing for a body scrub, a deep tissue massage or a hydrating facial.
-
You’ll find an array of tasty dim sum, such as soup dumplings and pork buns, at the breakfast buffet at Chapter. Load your plate and then head back for more.
-
When you’re in China, noodle dishes are the way to go and this delicious option on the in-room dining menu at Conrad Beijing combines fried, yet tender, beef with flat rice noodles, mushrooms, onions and spinach in a pepper soy sauce.
-
Order the Vivid Punch. This signature drink at the Four-Star hotel's nightclub packs a real punch with Hennessy VSOP, Belvedere vodka, dark rum, Grand Marnier, and pineapple and orange juices.
The Rooms
- When you stay at Conrad Beijing, you’re guaranteed at least 495 square feet to spread out in. And if you book the Presidential Suite, you’ll have a whopping 4,176 square feet to call your own.
-
If down pillows aren’t your thing, just dial Conrad services and take your pick of buckwheat, which helps relieve back, neck and shoulder pain; contoured, which supports proper sleep alignment; cassia, which can improve liver and eyesight function; or latex foam, which is hypoallergenic and antimicrobial.
-
The modern monochrome palette extends from the upholstered sectional couch to the plush carpeting to the silk wall coverings with Chinese motifs. The guest rooms at Conrad Beijing also employ a heavy use of natural elements such as wood and stone.
The Look
- High-end touches are found in every corner of the guest rooms from the use of leather and stone to marble and granite.
-
Geometric shapes, polished surfaces and expansive windows all add up to one thoroughly modern take on design.
-
Just the façade alone induces intrigue, but the interesting details keep coming in the form of a wall of iridescent tiles in the Four-Star hotel's lobby, an oversized wire sculpture in the lounge and shimmering, neon-lit adornments that hang from Vivid’s ceiling.
