What are the best places to stay in The Bahamas?

In December of 2014, the luxury loding landscape of the Caribbean will be redefined with the debut of Baha Mar, a destination featuring a Rosewood hotel, an SLS property, a Grand Hyatt and the largest casino in the Caribbean.  Taken together, the new Baha Mar is being heralded as The Bahamian Riviera, with shopping and dining amenities that truly cater to the jet set. The Cable Beach location is both convenient to the beautiful Lynden Pindling Airport and to historic Nassau.  It also can be used as a jumping off point to the recreation, remote beaches, fishing and beauty of the Out Islands.

What are the best hair salons in Los Angeles?

The beauty experts from arguably the most esteemed publication in the industry - Vogue - named Kim Vo the 'best blonder in the business' and his salon at Montage Beverly Hills regularly hosts celebrities, socialites and locals alike in a city where galas and premieres are literally daily events.  One doesn't have to be a guest of Montage Beverly Hills to make a reservation at Kim Vo Salon, though guests often make a full day of it with a visit to the adjacent, sumptuous Spa Montage.  If you want to meet the master himself, call the Spa and ask for the next date when Kim is planning to be on property.  There is nothing like having a hair consultation (and even a cut and color) by one of the true geniuses in the business.  It doesn't hurt that he is personable, warm and exceptionally funny.  Having hair done by the delightful and extraordinarily talented Kim Vo is genuinely an experience of a lifetime

What are the best off-the-beaten-path activities in Mexico City?

Though it will not be on the top of most lists of attractions for foreigners visiting D.F., the flotillas of Xochimilco are not to be missed.  Located on canals and tiny islands at the southern edge of the city, it is a joy to float for hours along with friends as literally dozens of live mariachi performances serenade and authentic Mexican culinary specialties are prepared before your eyes on floating ‘kitchen’ boats that tie up alongside yours.  Selecting a boat and a tour guide is easy and inexpensive.  As Xochimilco is not considered a popular tourism area, it is wise not to wear any jewelry or attention-grabbing clothing.  But the opportunity to enjoy watching local families as they celebrate birthdays, weddings or just a lazy Sunday floating on the canals together is an experience never to be forgotten.  Just as a gondola ride is considered an indispensable part of any visit to Venice, this is Mexico’s more colorful, relaxed and affordable tradition.

What are the best things to see at Sundance Film Festival?

While Main Street is absolutely the 'hub' of activity, guests looking for a more exclusive scene may want to check out the Acoustic Music Cafe located in the Vista Lounge at Montage Deer Valley.  Nightly 'pop up' concerts will include A-list headliners from the 18th to the 22nd of January including O.A.R., John Popper, KT Tunstall, Matisyahu and Luke Bryan.  There are no tickets to be sold or given out - it is just for festival attendees 'in the know.'  Montage Deer Valley has five restaurants on property, so guests joining the apres scene from 4 - 7 can dine in one of the venues (from sushi to burgers) and stick around for the celebrity-studded music scene.

Where are the five best places to eat in Stockholm?

Mälarpaviljongen on Kungsholmen gets my vote.  Though I was in Stockholm five days, I found myself returning here each and every one of them because it is such a sublime experience.  Strictly a summer favourite, it is a lakeside café by day and on a balmy summer evening this place becomes one of Stockholm’s most popular bars with live music nightly as the sun sets late into the night. A large floating pontoon has extended the bar into Lake Mälaren, where you can knock back a glass of rosé while enjoying superb views of the Summer Night City. Mälarpaviljongen can get very busy when the weather’s fine and the pontoon can only hold a limited number of people, so arrive early to avoid queues.  The restaurant menu is full of fresh favorites, beautiful burgers and lovely desserts and the wine list is truly superb and not overpriced.  A delicious treat and the surreal setting makes the food taste all the more heavenly.

What are the best things to do with kids in the Willamette Valley?

Equestrian Wine Tours offers a truly family-friendly option for vineyard visits - one of the most personalized and sincere family-run horseback riding experiences offered in any wine region in the country.  And even though it may not be intuitive to bring children on a winery tour, ultimately it is a very exciting 'family factory' setting where the vistas and the fermentation tanks and barrel rooms leave a lasting and meaningful impression on children.  Wine has been a part of human civilization for more than 5,000 years and a family-friendly wine region like Willamette Valley is an ideal place to share the wonder and art of wine making.

Does Montage Deer Valley charge any fees?

When the resort opened, there was a daily WiFi fee, but starting in 2013, all bookings include free internet access.  The resort offers a high-speed internet option for $19.95 per day and also provides two on-property business centers with complimentary high speed internet computer stations.
